It’s that time of year again: the annual ILP Lighting Summit!
This year is extra special because it marks 100 years of the Institution of Lighting Professionals — and 100 years of innovation, expertise and dedication to the lighting profession. As an influential professional body, the ILP unites the skills of engineering, design and technology in order to deliver quality lighting for the built environment and achieve public benefit.
We’ve been around for 15 years of this centenary, so we can’t wait to get stuck in and celebrate the occasion with our industry colleagues as one of the event’s three headline sponsors.
What’s happening?
The action kicks off on 18 June with a jam-packed programme, including our interactive ‘PFI is finished… Now what?’ workshop at noon.
When our executive director, Richard Jackson, asked a while back if you were ready for PFI handback, the overwhelming answer was NO! So, we’re going to take a closer look at all things PFI and what considerations you need to think about when you start the PFI handback process.
The second and final day (19 June) also promises to be an enlightening experience — with a careers workshop, an ILP Membership Bootcamp and lots more networking opportunities.
Come say hi…
DFL will be on Stand 15, and this year, we’re running with the theme of ‘fun’, so we’d love it if you stopped by for a chat and had some, well, fun!
Expect plenty of bright discussions around lighting designs and installations, a highly competitive cups challenge and LEGO. Obviously, LEGO — it wouldn’t be a DFL stand without one of our infamous LEGO giveaways. Rumour has it there’s a very location-appropriate London telephone box up for grabs…
So, if you happen to find yourself wandering around Tower Bridge — or more specifically, at the Leonardo Royal Hotel for the ILP Centenary Lighting Summit 2024 — why not pop by and say hello?
