Designs for Lighting exhibited at the HEA http://www.thehea.org.uk/at Celtic Manor Hotel in Newport on 2nd November and promoted their broad range of lighting design services.

DfL have presented talks regularly at HEA’s seminars and CPD events but this is the first time that they have exhibited at the annual conference and feedback was extremely positive. In many cases attendees commented on the breadth of range of lighting design services on offer from DfL, including Highway and urban lighting design, Smart City and Invest to Save Advice, Light Impact Assessments, Asset and Contract Management, Lighting policy and Technical Specifications, Highway Electrical Design and Tunnel Lighting.

Staff on hand to assist included:
Alistair Scott, Managing Director; alistair@designsforlighting.co.uk;
Richard Jackson, Business Development Manager; richard@designsforlighting.co.uk
and Kevin Dugdale, Project Manager Northern Region;  kevin@designsforlighting.co.uk

A well organised competition on the stand, based around choice of colour temperature in street lighting stimulated a lot of debate around this subject which also forms part of ongoing workshops organised by DfL. The prize of an Amazon Echo Dot was won by a leading local authority lighting engineer. Congratulations on winning the prize and we hope that you enjoy this piece of home technology.

‘We spent time with many people during the day-both new contacts and old friends, and a great mix of both Local Authorities and contractors. Having been involved in some very relevant LED street lighting upgrades recently I think it was an ideal time to showcase our services. Feedback on our performance with recent projects is excellent and we continue to invest in high level technical training and development of our team to be able to offer the best ‘fit’ for our clients.’  Concluded Alistair.
